Introduction:

Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, or CPTED, as it is more commonly known, is a proven set of design principles that are internationally recognized and used by planners, designers, police officers, security professionals, academics, educators, retailers and others to reduce the fear and incidence of crime as well as improve the quality of life.  CPTED principles are extremely versatile and cost effective when applied at the design stage.  CPTED principles have been adopted by many North American municipalities and planning departments.

The CPTED Level 1 course will provide you with a thorough understanding of the CPTED principles and strategies while giving you an opportunity to see how they are applied to real life problems.

​The CPTED Level 2 course is for CPTED practitioners who have taken the Level 1 course and had the opportunity to apply the CPTED principles and strategies in their work practice. The course is very interactive with students sharing their experiences on real life situations and giving you an opportunity to work on real life problems.
